Mission Statement
|
Sprinkler Fitters and Apprentices U.A. Local 483 is
committed to providing the best trained and most qualified
Sprinkler Fitters in North America. Through our partnership
with the United Association of Plumbers, Pipe Fitters and
Sprinkler Fitters, the National Fire Sprinkler Association
and all our Signatory Contractors, we provide and maintain a
training facility that all members of Local Union 483 can
access and utilize. Our five year apprenticeship program is
accredited by both the U.A. and the State of California. U.A.
Local 483 consistently has over one hundred apprentices
enrolled in our program and in the ten year period from 1995
- 2005 we have graduated over 200 apprentices from our
program. All members of U.A. Local 483 have access to and
are encouraged to participate in our continuing education
classes. These classes cover a variety of related topics for
the installation of life safety systems.
In addition to the state of the art training, U.A. Local 483
is committed to providing the very best in wages, benefits
and working conditions for our members and all Sprinkler
Fitters in the San Francisco Bay Area. At U.A. Local 483 we
believe that the very fabric of the American way of life is
for all our citizens to be able to provide a decent life
style with medical coverage and a respectable retirement for
themselves and their families. |
