3/29/2010
Pfizer Pharmaceutical has informed the State Building Trades Council of a program by which it is making free prescription medicines available to unemployed workers who were previously taking a Pfizer medicine but who have lost their health coverage.
Individuals may be eligible if they have been unemployed for at least three (3) months, and were prescribed and had been taking a Pfizer medicine for three months prior to becoming unemployed, currently have no prescription coverage, and an attest to financial hardship.
More information on available medications and on how to apply can be found at : http://pfizerhelpfulanswers.com/pages/misc/Default.aspx
Several other pharmaceutical companies have similar hardship programs. Unemployed workers who have lost prescripton medicines from other pharmaceutical companies are encouraged to check the websites of those companies as well, to enquire about the availability of prescription medicines for unemployed workers.
